History of Boldenone
Boldenone undecylenate (also referred to as Equipoise) is an anabolic steroid that was developed as a long version of methandienone. However the result was a steroid with fully different properties, despite the chemical similarity. In the 1950s and 1960s the Ciba company released several experimental compound forms, and finally stopped at the long ester - undecylenate. Its trade name was Parenabol. Parenabol was used in the 1960-ies and 1970-ies, mainly for dystrophy treatment and to increase bone weight and density in osteoporosis. Boldenone undecylenate was on the official market not long, its production was terminated in the late 1970s. On the veterinary market this drug was offered under the name Equipoise and produced by Squibb. Today many firms on the veterinary market equipoise, because the patent expired long time ago.
